MLK Day

Yesterday I participated in my 7th MLK Celebration with John Muir and Walker schools. It is an honor and privilege to sing the songs with my students and there is hardly anything more beautiful in the world to me than their young voices raised to Pete Seegers "If I Had a Hammer" or "Oh Freedom". Here is John Muir student body accompanied by our community band singing Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down" at the assembly yesterday. The band is comprised of 4th-5th graders who meet once a week for 1/2 hour.
